Welcome
The Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase has a long and eminent history of encouraging women to improve themselves and expand their rights by addressing needs of the community and country. It is a nondenominational, nonpartisan, volunteer service organization of women.
Founded in 1913 to promote the Welfare of the Community and of the State of Maryland, its members work to promote education, preserve natural resources, and encourage healthy lifestyles. The Club also addresses issues of concern to women, children and families.

Among a few of these projects, it helps support the American Red Cross, Bethesda Cares (serves Montgomery County’s homeless and working poor), the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Christ House (residential medical facility for homeless men and women) Chevy Chase Fire Department, Crossway Community (outreach services to low-income families at risk), Hearts and Homes for Youth (helps troubled children and youth become independent, productive adults), Montgomery Hospice Program, Salvation Army, Shepherd’s Table (provides food and basic services to individuals and families) and Warrior Transition Brigade at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (provides support and advocacy guides for severely wounded soldiers and their families).
The Club awards scholarships for nurses’ educational and professional development, Montgomery College Foundation Scholarships, Youth Art Program, Montgomery College Scholarships for adults returning to college; University of Maryland Music Scholarships in Piano and Voice and contributes toward art scholarships at Montgomery College.
